Das Foto zeigt das ganze Bahnbetriebswerk aus einem niedrigem Blickwinkel. Der Lokschuppen und der hohe Schornstein dahinter sind von Pola, der Rest ist von Faller. Im Vordergrund verläuft die eingleisige Strecke zum Schattenbahnhof der mittleren Ebene.
This photo shows the hole locomotive area from a low view. The roundhouse and the tall funnel behind are from Pola, the other things from Faller. In the foreground ist the single track to the hidden station of the middle level.
Probeweise wurden einige Bahntechnische Bauten von Faller aufgestellt. Von links nach rechts ist zu sehen: der Sandturm (138), Kohlehochbunker mit Kran (148), Ausschlackgrube mit Bockkran und Wasserkränen (149). Hinter der V200 ist die Dieseltankstelle (157) und dahinter das Kompressorhaus (139) zu sehen.
I placed some buldings from Faller to see the how it looks. From the left to the right the are: Sandtower (138), coalingstation with crane (148), inspectionspit with crane and watercrane (149). Behind the V200 is the fuel station (157) to see and behind the house for the air compression machines (139).
Wie üblich habe ich alle Bauzätze vor dem zusammebkleben farblich gealtert. Links vom Faller-Kohlebansen habe ich selbst einen Tiefbunker für Kohle in die Holzplatte eingelassen und mit Mauerpappe verkleidet. Dort können z.B. Drehschieberseitenentladewagen ihre Kohle abschütten.
All kits are weathered before I built it. Left of the coalingstation I built a deep coal bunker into the wood plate and use brick wallpaper for the walls. Coal wagons can easily download the coal there.
Ob der Sandturm schon seinen endgültigen Platz gefunden hat, vermag ich noch nicht zu sagen. Eigentlich sollten sich Loks die Kohle bunkern und andere die nur etwas Sand benötigen nicht gegenseitig behindern.
I do not know if this is the right place for the sand tower. Normaly locos which load new coal and locos which need only sand should not use the same track.
Eine nagelneue V100 mit eingeschalteter Führerstandsbeleuchtung will ihre Brennstoffvorräte bei der Dieseltankstelle ergänzen. Inzwischen habe ich diese Lok dezent gealtert, sodaß sie in dieser schmuddeligen Umgebung nicht mehr wie ein Fremdkörper wirkt.
A brand new V100 stands with activated driver stand light at the fuel station to fill the tanks. Meanwhile I had weathered this loco, so it looks more realistic in this dirty aera.
Während im Hintergrund drei Altbauelloks im Lokschuppen auf ihre Einsätze warten, ergänzen weiter vorn einige Dampfloks ihre Vorräte. Alle Dampfloks haben echte Tenderkohle und sind vorbildgerecht mehrfach gealtert.
In the roundhouse are three electro locomotives waiting for the next activities, meanwhile some steam locos are taking water, sand and coal. I put real coal onto the tender of the steam locos and weathered all.
Deutlich erkennt man nicht nur Kalkflecken an Zylindern und Tender, sondern auch die Öl- und Rußgeschwärzten Fahrwerke. Um den plastikhaften Glanz der gesamten Lok zu mildern, wurde sie zum Schluß per Airbrush mattscharz und dann mit einem Hauch dunkelgrauer Farbe übernebelt. So fügen sich die Dampfloks harmonisch in ihre Umgebung.
The are some chalk spots on the cylinders and the tenders and the wheels are full of oil and smuts. I airbrushed the hole locomotive first black and later the sides with dark grey. So the locos fits optical perfect in the the dirty locomotive aera.
